The Fox Hornibrook huts have been specifically designed for remote area applications. The following example is a series of huts built in Sudan.
  1. Materials are delivered to site.
  2. Slab is prepared & poured on-site.
  3. The first corner joint panels are erected.
  4. Grooves are made in-situ to assist with special corner joints.
  5. Following erection of external walls, internal partitions are installed.
  6. Truss is erected.
  7. Roof sheets are put in place and lightweight finish is installed.
  8. Hut is jointed and painting is complete
  9. Internal fit-out
  10. Landscaping
  11. The house is ready for occupation.
The current series of huts uses aluminum for all doors and windows with a lightweight steel truss replacing the timber model. There is no wood product used in any of the current Hut in the Box models.
 
New flooring systems remove the need for traditional concrete foundation, however this remains an option for clients in various markets.
 
1 and 2 bedroom models are available.
